Nintendo is the greatest video gaming company of all time, particularly if you are Japanese, American, Korean (unless reminded that Nintendo is Japanese), Chinese (to the point of piracy, in fact), or Taiwanese. Some random Europeans disagree, but nobody cares.
Also, they've been around for over 100 years, although in their older days, they used to make Hanafuda cards, and eventually English-style 52-card decks, both of which are still produced in Japan.
Nintendo despite having loved franchises such as Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pokémon and others is also a company very known for their shady practices. One is that in the mid '80s, they forced most of the leading publishers and developers (such as Capcom, Konami, Technos, Atari/Tengen, and even Namco.) to sign a vicious contract that won't allow them to develop on any other console.
Then again they did make Super Mario Bros. 3 and Punch-Out!!, so yeah...
Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Nintendo is was the majority owner of the Seattle Mariners. Yeah, that Seattle Mariners team that used to have Ken Griffey Jr. and Ichiro Suzuki.

- Nintendo Land (Contains attractions from big names like Mario & Zelda to lesser known titles like Nazo no Murasame Jō and the Game & Watch series. Not an actual theme park.)
- TomoDachi Life (Nothing has been changed about this game, just so damn weird. It's like you do and don't know what's happening, still good though).
