These guys love dressing up and being pirates, who love treasure, rum, and being truly free, and are opposed by the Navies of various countries (mainly Britain and Spain in older times).
There is also a baseball team named after them (the Pittsburgh Pirates), as well as an American Football team named after a synonym of a pirate (the Tampa Bay Buccaneers).
