This article describes a recognised Poopism: a method of video editing that has been used by a number of poopers.
Flash Poops are a recognized sub-genre of poop. Compared to the typical poop, they are more difficult and time-consuming to make. A few things typically comprise a Flash Poop:
- Special Effects (tech): The name Flash Poop refers to the software Adobe Flash, even though many Flash Poopers may not necessarily use Flash. Though most poops use effects to a certain extent, Flash Poops are more reliant on effects reminiscent of CGI movies rather than traditional effects that one could find in Movie Maker.
- Narrative (storyline, plot, etc): Despite being a collage-based medium, these poops are somewhat radical for usually containing strong storyline elements. Because of this, Flash Poops typically make frequent use of Sentence Mixing and similar Poopisms. A narrative is optional, as many Flash Poops exist that have no plot.
- Continuity: As Flash Poops tend to contain storylines, they may also usually contain at least a little continuity - such as spin-offs, like Link123456's Luigi Has Powerz and God Luigi; or being split up into several parts, such as Titleinlarge's Princess Spaghetti + the King's Revenge saga.
Flash Poops can be created in about any video-editing software, with programs that enable cropping/masking and multiple layers being immensely helpful. Though even picture-editing programs (even Microsoft Paint) can be used effectively for the creation of Flash Poops under the right hands.
