Philosophy is the study of fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, and mind. It is often confusing and only understandable to nerds and old people.

In YTP philosophical discussion is rare, but not unwarranted. There are many culturally significant aspects of YTP that have weight, as it often serves as a form of social criticism.

Gay Luigi was the first to think about perspective. When confronted with the problem of the power going out in one of the hotels, he asked Fat Mario how they would see in such conditions. Both Fat Mario and Gay Luigi have considered the existence of powerful beings from another dimension, and offer guidance to these Gods via an Enclosed Instruction Book.

Steve Burns spends long hours in his thinking chair. Like many philosophers, his dwelling on philosophical matters limited his social skills, and eventually led to numerous mental breakdowns. To this day he still lives in a yellow house in an undisclosed remote location while what's left of his sanity slips away.
