How do I take user out of the page name?
- I'm afraid you can't simply rename a user page. (I've tried) Copy your page and paste it on to a new one.
- Simply title the new page Totodile493

AIDS Protection[edit]
You know, I always did want to fix up the AIDS page a little bit, and yet despite my recent promotion, I still can't really edit it at all. You think you could maybe allow the guys who got the recent promotion to allow that AIDS article? - Crazy Luigi 23:53, 5 December 2011 (PST)
- Sure. TheFXexpert 11:50, 6 December 2011 (PST)
You're Welcoming Thing...[edit]
I've noticed that you seem to create some minor edits recently, and they all involve that div part of coding. Can I ask why you can't just edit the welcoming thing that's found and have the end div thing permanently on that bit of coding? I don't know, it just seems easier that way. - Crazy Luigi 14:43, 18 January 2012 (PST)
- The interface message that controls it, automaticly signs the post at the very end of the message. Unless you want the sig to be outside of the box, it's not possible. - TheFXexpert 13:14, 19 January 2012 (PST)
Thanks for putting more detail on Presidentofjelybeans[edit]
Thanks dude, I kinda suck at doing this. Also I didn't know that he got suspended and unsuspended.
- It still needs some more stuff in it though. Don't worry, you will get used to editing. Just look at other pages for inspiration. Also, please sign posts on talk pages with
~~~~
before you save it. Thanks - TheFXexpert 17:20, 15 February 2012 (PST)
Regarding my User article[edit]
I really hope I didn't do anything wrong or stupid, but if I could ask, why was it removed and is there any way I could avoid this error in the future?
Thanks in advance.
- Your page was in the User namespace meaning that it has the prefix "User:" in the title. Pooper articles shouldn't have the User prefix in it or else it will not show up in the main index or by searching (Unless you use the advanced search). However Doomzappo safely copied your page Here. If you want to create more pages just type the Title of the page you want to create in the search bar, hit go, and it will say You can create the page on this wiki. Click on the green link, and your good. Please don't worry about it. Lots of people have made the same mistake, so it's no big deal. - TheFXexpert 08:59, 31 August 2012 (PDT)
About Keegan[edit]
I'm not doing anything it's just that he won't stop fucking censoring the page. I actually hate MLP. But I also hate it when some 8-year-old gets asshurt over the fact that it has sex jokes.--Blugill63 (talk) 00:15, 9 August 2013 (PDT)
- I know you aren't doing anything, you are fine. I locked it so he won't change it back and continue an potentially endless edit war. I personally don't like sex jokes but I agree with you that it is uncalled for. - TheFXexpert (talk) 06:01, 9 August 2013 (PDT)
[1][2][3]
- Sure, I'll leave it in case someone wants to clean it up. But it's still not that good of a page. Also as a reminder, you should use proper spelling/grammar and don't forget to sign you posts on talk pages with ~~~~ - TheFXexpert (talk) 19:18, 27 February 2014 (PST)
- It looks like Gabriel got to it and saved it. - TheFXexpert (talk) 19:22, 27 February 2014 (PST)
so the chewfag girl thing only counts if its anime and your curently on the fourms then?[edit]
im just checking
- Since you were a forum member at one point, I think you are good. If you were wondering, I simply moved your entry to a different spot in the list. - TheFXexpert (talk) 14:34, 9 March 2014 (PDT)
ah, okay cool!
This may seem dumb, but is there a way to do it?[edit]
Is there a way to merge two users, or at least change names? I mean, my old chewiki username was the same as my youtube/youchew account, GabrielCol595, but I lost accesos to using it even before I got to use it because I'm a dumb fuck, and I'm regretting a bit having "GabrielCol59" as my current chewiki account username, is there a possible way to change it to GabrielCol595? If not, is there a way to change it to something else?
- A few plugins exist where we can do that. But we don't have them installed. I will ask Tabull if we can do that for you. - TheFXexpert (talk) 07:38, 13 March 2014 (PDT)
Separate or together?[edit]
I plan on making an article for The Mooninites. Both of them are hardly different. Should I make them unified or separate YouMustDie (talk) 18:15, 22 July 2014 (PDT)YouMustDie
- I guess put them in the same article for now and we'll see how it goes. - TheFXexpert (talk) 06:46, 24 July 2014 (PDT)
A template to make your job easier..[edit]
I recently made this template. Here it is: (Template:Stop). I think this would be a good thing to put on the featured articles or articles with edit wars, to go in to more detail on why edits are disabled. -YouMustDie (talk) 05:21, 19 September 2014 (PDT)YouMustDie
I decided that I'll just let you know whenever I make a template, and because you like article matienence, I will wait for your opinion on it. (I plan on making a fuckload of them tonight) YouMustDie (talk) 20:39, 20 September 2014 (PDT)YouMustDie
- I apologize for not responding promptly, I was out for a bit and I still have a lot of edits to check. I probably won't be able to get to them until tomorrow. - TheFXexpert (talk) 21:19, 20 September 2014 (PDT)
OK, tomorrow I just show you all the templates I made and you can decide if we need them or not. --YouMustDie (talk) 21:41, 20 September 2014 (PDT)YouMustDie
Here they are:
I'm gonna see what you think. --YouMustDie (talk) 22:13, 20 September 2014 (PDT)YouMustDie
- I, personally, can see a purpose for some of these, but not all of them. The Porn template could be really useful, as it could serve as a "NSFW" warning. The Stop template could also be useful, as someone may be curious as to why editing is disabled. The Bigot template, on the other hand, may not be necessary, as it functions, almost, like a specialised "Dirty" template. The Dupe template, as well, is a bit unnecessary, as it does a similar job as the Delete template, but more specialised. The NameChange template is also unnecessary, as there is already a function to move an article, thus changing its name. We'll see what FX thinks, though. -Yoshit (talk) 02:28, 8 November 2014 (PST)
- Ak. I totally forgot about this sjdfhsajkhjdf___ Anyway:
- The bigot template isn't really necessary since the "dirty" tag pretty much covers that stuff; use the "worst" tag if it's really bad.
- As for the Stop tag, I was thinking of using something similar to wikipedia's padlock icons for this. Either in the upper-right corner like they have it, or next to the edit/view source button.
- The porn one I think is unnecessary. If it breaks the rule, it should be removed period. If we are going to have a NSFW tag for borderline stuff, if should be worded differently.
- The dupe tag is not needed since the wiki checks for such conflicts automatically.
- The name change one is also not needed since any user can change the name of a page by using the move button at the bottom.
Kyoobur9000[edit]
you know also Kyoobur9000 is a hiatus pooper since but he does not do it so much i have no idea why it removed? also Lolman,Megan,and the others are also into him and some people into both effect and ytping there maybe called Logo poopers or Effect Poopers Gabrielpika (talk)
- I removed the page because it just contained article tags (one of them being false) without any supporting text. - TheFXexpert (talk) 17:42, 30 July 2015 (PDT)
Namesssssss[edit]
Sorry to be a bother about this again, but I'm just wanting to check if that one plugin for name changes that you've talked about in your reply to my earlier post on here is avaiable to be installed, if not installed already, or if there's any knowledge about if this is actually solvable or not. If so, you can hit me up when something about this was solved.
edit: lol i'm dumb at using talk thingies sorry, i still gotta get used to wikies, i ended up making a whole new talk section while i could have just replied to the post --GabrielCol595 (talk) 04:22, 30 July 2015 (PDT)fiv95
- Oh no; creating a new section is perfectly fine and is actually good practice. Unfortunately, nothing has changed since it was last brought up. I have been reluctant to ask tabull about it since the forum upgrade is approaching and he is trying hard to make sure the transition is bug free. Sorry about that. - TheFXexpert (talk) 17:42, 30 July 2015 (PDT)
Quick question[edit]
Just curious, is there a way the YouChew page on here could be made editable by Chewiki staff members, and not just the sysops? Want to bring a few bits up to date... --Probo (talk) 16:50, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
- I messed up with configuration settings that I gave Tabull a while back that prevented staff from editing protected pages. I will have to PM Whelt to fix it. - TheFXexpert (talk) 00:29, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
