Jon Arbuckle is the owner of Garfield and Odie. He is also a lonely cartoonist and a 34 year old virgin.
In Life[edit]
Jon Arbuckle was created by Jim Davis, owner of the comic strip Garfield. He has appeared in all Garfield media such as the comics, the animated television series Garfield and Friends, and computer-animated The Garfield Show, and two live-action/computer-animated feature films. Probably that God awful Garfield CGI movie to that probably plays in a nonstop loop in Hell.
He is a cartoonist, who's style is that of the Garfield comics. A cartoonist within a cartoon? Cartoon-caption! BWAAHHHH! This appears to have been dropped for a little while but his girlfriend, named Liz, tells her parents that he is a cartoonist.
His fictional birthday is birthday is July 28, 1950 (or 1951), but his age seems to be ambiguous throughout media.
He was voted number one on Best Week Ever blog's list of "The Most Depressed Comic Book Characters". Being made fun of by the Youchew community probably doesn't do his self esteem any favors. He especially became the butt of even more jokes when the Youchew community found a Garfield comic editor.
Apparently, he has a will written which asks that he be cremated and have his ashes spread over his accordion. Pretty geeky, right? Do not underestimate him, however, as he has a powerful right hook which has knocked out people. This has occurred in both animated and live action formats.
