iMovie is a program for Macintosh that a few users use to make YouTube Poop. It's the Mac equivalent of WMM except with less crashes (in iMovie 06). IMovies after 06 have a different problem, if left open too long the audio will go mute or skip while skimming though clips. At this point iMovie must be closed and re-opened. It can't use WMVs so you have to find a converter if you use it, and if you don't it covers the video in a Flip4Mac watermark. One version (iMovie 08) is generally considered one of the worst editing programs available while its predecessors (iMovie 09 and iMovie 11) are much more advanced and have more features then WMM (although it doesn't support plug-ins).
Features (in iMovie09-iMovie11) include:
- Reverse Tool
- (limited) Speed tool
- 2 video layers
- Unlimited Audio Layers
- A Picture in Picture Tool
- Green Screen (lets you do mirror effect!)
- Easy Clip Splicing (drag and drop)
- Zoom/Cropping Tool
- Saves Sources Onto Software
- Built in Sound Effects
- Highly Adjustable Text Settings
- .png Support (limited)
Does NOT Include (iMovie09-iMovie11):
- Chroma Key
- Support for Most Video Formats
Supported Video Formats:
- .mov
- .mp4 (most of them)
- .m4v
If affordable, it is recommended for Mac users to use Adobe Premiere instead.
