The Legend of Zelda cartoon series first aired on TVs back in September 8, 1989 as a special double-header towards some of the later episodes involving The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Unlike the Super Show, the Legend of Zelda was a short 15 minute TV show involving our heroes Link & Zelda trying to save Hyrule from the evil wizard named Ganon. You could say that it received the same treatment as Super Mario World did, in terms of being bundled up with another cartoon of DiC's. Despite it's final episode airing on December 1 of the same year, it ended up having 13 episodes that have plenty of material to work with. In fact, sources say that there actually were plans to continue this cartoon, but they weren't acheived for some odd reason.

Episodes[edit]

In airing order:

  1. "The Ringer"
  2. "Cold Spells"
  3. "The White Knight"
  4. "Kiss 'N Tell"
  5. "Sing For The Unicorn"
  6. "That Sinking Feeling"
  7. "Doppleganger"
  8. "Underworld Connections"
  9. "Stinging A Stinger"
  10. "A Hitch In The Works"
  11. "Fairies In The Spring"
  12. "The Missing Link"
  13. "The Moblins Are Revolting"

Characters[edit]

  • Link
  • Zelda
  • King Harkinian (Yes, the King of Hyrule actually appeared in this series first! Kind of makes you think if the two animated Philips CD-i games were meant to work into the cartoon, huh?)
  • Ganon
  • The Moblins (Ganon's special evil minions.)
  • The Triforce of Wisdom (Yes, that Triforce could actually talk!)
  • The Triforce of Power (Same goes for this one! Strangely, there's no Triforce of Courage to be found in this one...)
  • Spryte (A fairy that's often seen with Link & Zelda during their adventures.)
  • Sing (Another fairy, I guess...)
  • Others that aren't really important.

Episode Availability[edit]

If you can check out Amazon.com, you'll probably find the Legend of Zelda's DVD series somewhere. Once you have that onto your possession, go ahead and upload all the episodes onto something like Rapidfire or Mediafire (not Megaupload, however, since that's been dead for quite some time now). Then everything will be right with the world.

Further Information[edit]

  • That line that was right next to the Nostalgia Critic's name? They put it on their 29 times in the 13 episodes aired. Tha meant it was likely for you to hear that at least 2-3 times in each episode.
