The Detour on YouTube is a Canadian YTPer that joined in 2016 as Dedotated Wam. He got his whereabouts known from joining multiple YTP collabs, which slowly gave him a bit of a name in the YTP community.
History[edit]
The Detour on YouTube, discovered YTP from the sidelines watching a few select amount of poopers in 2011 - 2014. However, in 2015 he wanted to start doing poops himself when a friend of his showed him a YTP he made in Windows Movie Maker, which inspired him to get Sony VEGAS 12 and rebrand his YouTube accounts name to, "Dedotated Wam" though his first poop was uploaded in 2016. Shortly near the final months of 2016, he changed his YouTube username to, "The Detour on YouTube" which is based off the old adult block from the Canadian kids network, Teletoon, named, "The Detour on Teletoon", because he really liked the aesthetic the block went with and wanted to incorporate it onto his channel. Also he didn't want his name to be tied with nothing more than a meme that had been done to death.
