Plumbers Don't Wear Ties is an interactive adventure for the Panasonic 3D0 system made in 1994. The object is to choose a set of actions that will eventually make the 2 characters (John [a plumber] and Jane [a job prospect]) fall in love. If enough bad choices are made, then the option to try again is given.

- John (Edward J. Foster), the male protagonist of the game. He is a plumber who, ironically, wears a tie for most of this game.
- Jane (Jeanne Basone), the female protagonist who is trying to get a job.
- Mark Thresher (Paul Bokor), a perverted and bisexual boss who is the closest to an "antagonist" of the game.
- Harry Armis, the narrator who insults you for making certain choices. Is also Jane's dad, apparently.
- Selma (unknown), a karate bitch/"Take-Over Artist" who is apparently wanted in over 30 states for "overriding fan-fiction".

While very little of the actual video of the game is actually used, the same visuals and slide show effect have been parodied with other media, such as Hotel Mario (right).
