Octorok is a wild species found in Hyrule which often fight Link. Recently, many Octoroks have been infected with Octorok AIDS which can be spread when someone eats Octorok shit.
Octorok is considered a fine specialty in Hyrule and many other places and is usually cooked for Dinner.
Rumor #1: Octorok AIDS
It was rumored that when you eat an Octorok without removing its shit disposal, you get Octorok AIDS.
Rumor #1: Proven True
In Wands of Gamelon, when Link eats an Octorok, he forgot to remove the shit disposal, trapping him in the AIDS Mirror. He is saved though, after Zelda defeats Ganon, who was an AIDS source, Zelda finds out Lady Alma has the AIDS Mirror and breaks it, revealing Link.
Rumor #2: AIDS Mirror
It was rumored that Zelda made the AIDS mirror when she bumped into Rape Spider one day. This has not been confirmed though.
