G'MIC
G'MIC is an open source, cross-platform image processing framework. Originally used as command line program, G'MIC has been ported for GUI applications as a plug-in such as GIMP, Krita, Paint.NET and programs that use the OFX API like Vegas Pro. Most YouTube Poopers would find it most useful as a Vegas Pro plugin. This plugin can also be used in Adobe After Effects. Yet, despite of that, G'MIC is not available for Adobe Photoshop but is available for GIMP instead. What makes this plug-in unique from other 3rd-Party plug-ins for Vegas Pro is that it requires a manual installation, comes with no transitions or media generators, and is available free of charge. However, this plugin is notorious for extreme frame-rate drops in the preview window and slow rendering times in Vegas Pro.

Facts[edit]
- G'MIC's effects wasn't really intended for it to be used for video editors in the beginning. They later ported it to OFX which allows editing software like Vegas Pro to use it.
- G'MIC handles much faster in Linux when used in Natron compared to Windows using the same program.
- The version of G'MIC binaries used for Vegas Pro and Adobe being passed around in the YTP Community is 0.6.1b. Some effects in this version is buggy in Vegas Pro.
