YouChew Writing Staff
YouChewPoop's front page has many news articles on it, which is contributed by many news writers. Writing for the front page is a great way to express creativity and spread attention about Youtube Poopers you find are cool. Your articles can also benefit the audience - such as motivating them to create good Youtube Poops, and noting whether a certain video game is good or not. So writing for the YouChewPoop front page is a win-win situation!
How to write for the front page
To apply for a slot on the front page, you need to e-mail RabbitSnore (his e-mail address is in the YCP News Office thread) with a sample of one of your articles to be posted on the front page, and RabbitSnore will let you know if he has accepted your article or not.
If you have had an article posted on the front page, then congratulations; You can probably expect to receive fan mail and attention! Use this news template on your Chewiki page to note that you have written at least one article. However, if you've made one that is very epic, or made at least five; instead use this one for your page.
What are you waiting for?! Grab that pencil and get to work!
Tips
- Brainstorm. Brainstorming can help you think of an article to write about and what details to put in it, but it can also help enhance your future creativity.
- Try to make a long article. Not too long though, and the longer it is; the more exciting and entertaining it needs to be.
- Make it witty and humorous. And don't try to imitate Chris Bores' humor, because 85% of the time you'll fail. A small amount of comedy alongside the information of your article will actually make viewers glad that they read your article.
- Use descriptive language. Don't use too many hard words so that people will barely understand, but just enough.
- Try to avoid swearing. While swearing usually is allowed on YouChewPoop, not using them in your article can make it seem more mature; and make it appeal to a wider audience.
- Try to make the tone of your article sound a bit happy - it will probably make your audience cheerful along with you.
