Ear Rape is the video editing process of making the audio of a clip to sound as loud as fuck. This is often used to annoy or shock, rather then to entertain. Some people don't like it very much. Well screw them because they do not know true entertainment when they see it (or hear it, in this case).
Ear rape can be done by using some of the audio effects in Vegas, such as Distortion or Reverb, or simply by maximizing the volume through other methods. It can be also be done in other editing programs but not very easily in Vista WMM.
It can also be done by using Hotel Mario clips from Quebecgamers.com.
It has been reported that speakers have been blown out because of Ear Rape.
