One Piece is an awesome manga/anime series created by Eiichiro Oda. Though it is probably the most popular manga of all time in Japan, it has serious competition in the West and was killed by one of the worst dubs of all time. Despite that, it has amassed a huge fan following (something Cartoon Network fails to realize) and thanks to Viz Media's campaign to improve the manga's release dates, might be making a comeback. The Pope would be proud, except he hates the official English translations, so I guess we're all fucked then.
Description[edit]
Monkey D. Luffy wants to be the King of the Pirates for some strange reason. He just has two problems: 1: He ate the Gum Gum Fruit, preventing him from swimming ever again, and 2: He's a complete idiot. Luffy travels the world finding shipmates as he seeks to find the titular One Piece (it's the name of a treasure, not a swimsuit) and become King of the Pirates.
