El Chavo del Ocho (or El Chavo del 8, called Chaves in Brazil) commonly known as El Chavo is a famous Mexican television sitcom that gained popularity in Spanish-speaking America as well as in Brazil, Spain, United States and other countries. It centers around the adventures and tribulations of the title character, El Chavo — an orphan played by the show's creator, Chespirito (Roberto Gómez Bolaños, and other inhabitants of a fictional apartment building, or, as called in Spanish, vecindad.
The show has an important legacy and marked generations, each episode is still being aired in a lot of TV Channels in all over Latin America. It has a cartoon show released in 2006, that, acording to people there, sucks ballz.
