OVER 9000 is one of the oldest memes on the planet. It was started by Kajetokun when he posted the video shown to the right. It was said by Vegeta in an episode of Dragon Ball Z when Nappa asked for Goku's power level. Since 9000 was higher than Nappa's power level, this caused Vegeta to break the scouter in rage. In the original Japanese version, Goku's power level was only 8000. However, in most later dubs, it has remained 9000 so the fanboys won't be disappointed. The uncut version of Dragon Ball Z Kai changes it back to 8000 at last.
9000+ is how big Goku's power level once was. Nowadays, it has easily gone up to wayyyy over 500 billion. Over 9000 is also how many licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop.
