This is a technique where an author will repeat a specific piece of footage, or sequence of footage through a large body of work, to create a meme, fad or running joke associated with that particular artist.
Examples
- Stegblob ends the majority of his poops with a short Sonic Sez segment, before the ending sequence to Sonic the Hedgehog is played with alternate music. Big Bird then appears saying "Coming soon on Sesame Street!" before completly unrelated footage is played.
- The Electric Cheese frequently uses the phrase "JET BOOTS" from Dexters Lab throughout his poops.
