Promotion[edit]
The film was first promoted for two minutes on an episode of the Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job! The promotion featured an interview between the film's director, Glen Tennis, and the actor Grum, as well as a small [Let's take a look at a] clip of the film. Spectators were left stunned and in awe, and according to statistics 3% of those who watched it had their heads explode. Many critics foresaw commercial success for the film.
Film Synopsis[edit]
As the Mayflower arrives at Plymouth Rock, Grum, suffering from a combination of seasickness and various other mental illnesses, believes that the Indians on the beach are actually clowns. Grum's longtime friend/possible partner reminds him that they are Indians and that he's being stupid again. Grum continues to ask prodding questions to his friend, such as what they were eating, and Grum learns all about Thanksgiving dinner. Upon sighting a luscious pile of maize, he immediately starts hallucinating before blacking out.
The next eighty minutes of the film involve Grum going on a massacre of the Indians of North America for the next two centuries of his life before finally falling in love with one of their women and settling down on the plains of Montana, letting Manifest Destiny finish the job.
Reception[edit]
The movie received critical acclaim and was ultimately a box-office hit, scoring over $5 billion USD during its entire run. Roger Ebert gave it a 4-star rating stating "the film is funny and witty while still forcing the viewer to think on a deep and critical level." Ebert went on about the film before babbling like a maniac and foaming at the mouth before collapsing. Currently the film maintains a 99% rating on RottenTomatoes, and has since been nominated for several Academy Awards, including Best Actor and Best Director.
Grum's first major role in a Hollywood movie, its huge success has put him in the spotlight and since then he has starred in several other films.
Despite being successful in theaters, the movie's home release was poor, considering the video was exclusively released to the Cinco® Video Cube Playback System.™ When asked about why the director chose this, he merely smiled and bellowed "HA HAHA HAAAAA HAHAHA HAAAAA! *inhale*" and the interviewer immediately went deaf.
Thanks, Cinco®.
