SKRILLEX TRIBUTE YTPMV
The Skrillex Tribute YTPMV trend was started by McMaNGOS in Dec 2011. The trend became popular and video responses were created in rapid succession thereafter.
"Skrillex Tribute YTPMVs" are basically a hodge-podge of different sounds from different sources, synched up with to the rhythm of "Kill Everybody". Video descriptions were often written in all caps with bad grammar and contained farcical messages about the death of Skrillex. Most people who participated in the trend did so because of a dislike for Skrillex, and as a result the general public saw them as trap videos.
