Many see him to be a hoax, saying that he's actually just Giant Ninja Mario, backed the fact that his alleged name is self-contradicting and redundant at the same time. Mario could not be found for questioning on the matter.

- The only acclaimed witness to Mario's transformation was 3 Eyed Blue Luigi, other possible witnesses have yet to make mention of the incident.
- Some people believe that he's God & Satan at the same time!!!
- On rare occasions, Good Truthful Honest Totally Depraved Evil Insidious Giant Ninja Mario has been known to stare down angrily at a much smaller King Koopa and point to his chest, using only his left thumb.
- Not to be confused with Miserable Squawking Angry Giant Ninja Mario, who is his distant cousin who looks like him, but has a radically different personality. Just like on The Patty Duke Show! What a crazy pair.
