Skype is an instant message/call service that has essentially replaced AIM and MSN as a main form of communication in the Youtube Poop community. It's free, can be set to log in with computer start-up, and features large group instant messaging and voice calls. Because of this, there are a multitude of unofficial "Youtube Poop Chats" set up with the service. Non-Youtube Poop related videos are sometimes recorded using the service's voice call system. Intelligent conversations/batshit crazy spamming usually goes on in them every day. Many of them are filled with inside jokes. Some of them are home to trivial drama.
The service also allows for file sharing, which can be a good way to send in collab entries.
