Steven Universe is the most recent smash hit on Cartoon Network. The series was created by Rebecca Sugar, who had previously written all your favorite songs and episodes from Adventure Time. The show centers around a boy named Steven and his three guardians, the Crystal Gems: Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. Gems are special beings that are based off of, well, gemstones. The Crystal Gems protect the earth (and Steven) while the Homeworld Gems - Lapis, Peridot, and Jasper - come from space to try to take over the world.
