Touhou Project
Description
It's a bullet hell game consisting mostly of female characters (probably lesbians). The gameplay is very hard (see first video) and your brain will burn out due to frustration. It's a doujin game created entirely by one Japanese guy.
Touhou also has an official music group called IOSYS (second thorugh fourth video). However, the amount of fan music and remixes in all different genres of music is quite incredible.
Source-wise: There are two fan-made anime of Touhou with further installments to one of them on the way. There are also numerous PVs and music videos for the IOSYS songs. Touhou is used a lot in MADs which are the Japanese version of Youtube poops.
Also, the sixth game in the series is what brought us the song U.N. Owen Was Her.
