Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie (aka Sonic Anime in some circles) was a movie created by Sega around 1996. It was a two part OVA, the first part having Robotnik tell how Metal Robotnik took over the Land of Darkness, and the second part revolving around the fight between Sonic and Hyper Metal Sonic.
