Sony Vegas

Sony Vegas is a very popular program used to make these videos, used by the majority of poopers so many in fact that a list of people who do not use this is smaller (usually WMM masters or Premiere users). Was originally made by Sonic Foundry under the names VideoFactory and Screenblast until Sony bought them.

Its advantages over WMM are as follows:

• Simple Reverse Effect, in WMM a reverse effect is possible but it requires timing in cutting the clips small enough and rearrange the clips so the end result is jerky
• More Visual Customization (unless custom plugins were installed on WMM but extra plugins do exist for Vegas except that they are expensive)
• Able to have other methods of Ear Rape
• Audio Effects including the pitch shift which is often used in YTPMVs (Pitch shift only exists in WMM XP and even then it only happens when you speed up or slow down a clip)
• More reliable as in that the program does not crash as often as WMM, Vegas rarely crashes unless either it is an intense video such as the MycroProcessor/GameBop variety of visual and audio art, an audio effect or a dodgy clip.

Advantages over Adobe Premiere are:

• More reliable
• Can be run on less powerful computers

A disadvantage was argued that many videos feel the same with no further evolution of poop compared to the earlier eras where Vegas was not often used, however in recent times various poopers have disproved this disadvantage due to the fact that it is a pooper's style can be different despite using the same software. Another is that Vegas 5 has a weird bug when the mp3 plugin runouts and can't be activated.
