Probably one of the first and best sword fighting in gaming history. SNK has been very well known for making this game and besides, it's even a series of these games. It obviously takes place in the early 1800 as it says in the map during the game but has some references that lead to future world (ex: Mai wanting you to die and go to hell if you beat the game with two certain characters). And it was still common at the time even when they made sequels for it or when Capcom tried to take them out of existence, that game made them famous.
