Cave Story is an independent platformer-adventure game for the PC. It was developed by Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya in his free time over the course of five years. It was released in 2004. It was one of the first videogames to make deliberate use of 'retro'-style graphics is widely considered to have started this fad. This Game is...... not really used for videos, but rather used in YTPMVs.
Summary
Your average Mega Man style platformer, but with the ultimate weapon being the Spur and you get a hot partner to work with.
