Tom & Jerry
Description[edit]
Tom & Jerry was a series of short, animated films running from the 1940s to the 1970s. Created by Hanna-Barbera, the shorts aired in theaters and revolved around a cat (Tom) who chased a mouse (Jerry). The shorts were highly successful and still popular today, some of them even winning awards.
In 1991, Tom & Jerry: The Movie was released. However, it was panned because, as the Nostalgia Critic put it, "Tom and Jerry don't talk." In addition, the plot was totally different and revolved around a girl trying to get back to her father, with Tom and Jerry just kind of... there. In 2002, Tom & Jerry and the Magic Ring was released direct-to-video, and was much more true to form.
