What is Monkey Dust?

Monkey Dust is an Dark British Animated Comedy Series that was first shown in 2002 and (possibly) finished in 2005. It only lasted for 3 series and 18 episodes were made. TV.com gave really positive reviews to Monkey Dust on nearly all of the episodes.

The show is notable as it uses different style of animation for each sketch/character (because it was done by more than 5 different Animation studios). The transitions after each sketch works really well to compare to other comedy sketches where it snaps from one place to another, this one however shows how the scene changes form A to B.

Whoever is not British should watch this because it accurately shows what Britian is like at nighttime (mainly Friday/Saturday).

Notable Characters

There are loads of characters in the series but some of them are regulars/notable ones.

• Liar Clive: Always late to see his wife and explains everything to her which my end up in some pop culture reference like:

The A-Team or 24 or Humpty Dumpty. He mainly appears on the first 2 series.

• London Essex boys: 2 typical overweight British lads argue which person or group should be at or from and ends up saying: "LONDON, ESSEXS, LONDON, ESSEXS, LONDON, ESSEXXXX (long one)". They only appear in series 2.

Examples: The next James Bond Actor or Aliens landing from space.

• Ivan Dobsky: Ivan Dobsky is a supposed notorious criminal, known as "the Meat-Safe Murderer", held in custody in the high-security H.M. Prison Crowmarsh .. although he's never done it and has a mental age of 4.

He appears in all 3 series with 6/6 in series 1, only the 2nd & 3rd episode of series 2 and 3/6 for series 3.

• Guy (aka Classicly trained voice actor). He does voice overs and a notable character in Monkey Dust because he never changes his tone. He only appear in 5 episodes, all of which were from Series 1 (Episodes 2 to 6).

• Geoff the first-time cottager

For thoses who has never heard of "First-time Cottager" it means he want to suck cocks in a quiet place (Forests/Toilets) but he never succeds. Except in Series 2 episode 3 but he doesn't like having a willy in his mouth. He appears in the first 2 series.

• Omar, Abdul and Shafiq, the incompetent terrorists

Omar, a former privileged public schoolboy is a fanatical Islamist and a member of a terrorist organization he calls 'The International Revolutionary Jihad for the Liberation of the Islamic Republic of Great Britain'.

• The Paedofinder General:

One of the funniest notable Monkey Dust character because the viewers appauld him after killing someone. Mainly a quiz show (P.D Jam_s), a PEEDO (a SPEEDO pants that covers the S), and nude baby pictures from its mother at a photo shop. He was a 1 off character (with a few appearance) in Series 2 and a regular in Series 3

• Noodles the Rabbit*

A unqiue rabbit because he's a toon which has been abused for Animal Experiments. He gets his revenge on the last episode. He only appears in Series 3.

• Fran Chappell

One of a few characters in Monkey Dust that has actual story development in their sketches. She was known in the news as her daughter ran away from her. Part way through the series she became very famous and in the last episode her daughter steals her career and makes her 15 minutes of Fame ending in a great disaster (resulting in a naked Fran begging outside the TV studios. She only appears in Series 3 as a regular.
