'''<i>The '70s</i>''' were the funky decade situated between [[the '60s]] and [[the '80s]]. While to some, the '70s are fondly remembered as "the prime of their dating years", others are bitter against the decade, since they are now in their 50s or 60s (even though they were in their 20s in the '70s).

In the '70s, all the funky young people loved disco. Then they hated it just as quickly as they loved it. Everybody used the words "groovy" and "shagadelic", but now anybody who says that will be punched in the face. Everybody also wore funky tight threads and had shagadelic [[Garterbelt|grotesque afros]].

In reality, many people were out of a job, and many industrial plants had closed. Steel mills, automotive plants, you name it.

The '70s were notable for cosmic things like [[Star Wars]], [[Rocky]], [[Coney Island Disco Palace|disco]], KISS, muscle cars, and various other funky things.

*Some people can't get over the death of disco in 1979. [Others are happy about it.

*The [[Pennsylvania|Pittsburgh]] Steelers won 4 Super Bowls in the 70's, which was moreSuper Bowls  than any other team had ever won.
*In the '70s Citizen's Band radio, fueled by movies such as "[[Law for Kids|Smokey]] and the Bandit" and "Convoy", saw a surge in popularity, most notably in the [[United States]], though also popular in the [[United Kingdom]], [[Australia]], [[Canada]], [[Japan]], and other countries, as well.
