He eventually closed the account in early 2011 due to controversy that sparked because of a comment he left on a Mac vs. PC commercial.

At the time, he had just found out about the Slenderman myth and began his own series. He was encountered by a user named wiiluigi1992, who at first criticized him for his lack of reality in the series. They continued to argue until they ultimately became friends. Both of them, along with others, formed a group of people seeking information in regards to the Slenderman creature. The group eventually dissolved and the members went their separate ways, including Gutíerrez.
