I have a suggestion. Why not add the ability for people to put in the template the reason why an article is being deleted? As in,

This page is a candidate for deletion for spam or whatever.

If you disagree with its deletion, please explain why in the talk page for this article, or improve the page and remove the {{delete}} tag.

Remember to check what links here and the the page history before deleting.

For some articles, it'd be obvious why they're being deleted. But other articles could benefit from specifying why, for the sake of regular non-editing viewers wondering why it's being nominated for deletion. - PSE1nf0
