Once, back in 1996 a bunch of online friend put some videos on youtube because it was free and they wanted to show each other their stupid video remixes. There were friends because of forums such as protoman and newsgrounds. They didn't care about youtube and they just used it as another place to post their stuff like a video version of photobucket, not realising that people actually watch videos on youtube. They most defiantly did not want to be involved with any kind of fad, meme or viral video style community so it came as something of an unpleasant shock to them when they discovered their videos had become extremely influential and as 2007 dawned a new online community was starting to form.
