Sonic the Hedgehog (cartoon)
Sonic the Hedgehog, or SatAM Sonic by fans aired on ABC in 1993. According to Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog artist Militon Knight, Archie was looking for ideas for a Sonic Comic they were making. Dic created Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, but Archie rejected it, saying it was too cartoony.
Then Dic made another show while AOSTH was on the air. It was about a group of freedom fighters fighting against a dictator, Dr. Robotnik. Archie accepted it, and based their comic on SatAm.
Unfortunately, SatAM never had a third season, because it was taken off the air before they could do it. SatAM story writer Ben Hurst said the red eyes at the end of the final episode, The Doomsday Machine, were Naugus's. He also explained how the rest of the third season was going to be. He mentioned Sonic and Tails becoming closer friends (Like in AOSTH), and Tails getting a special power. Then there was Snively joining the Freedom Fighters, and Naugas rises to power. Ben hopes that Dic and Sega could get together again to air that 3rd season. No announcement yet if any plans are being planned.
