The name of this category is inconsistent with all of the other nationality categories. Anybody else think I should move the contents to a category named "Characters - British" for consistency? --NinjaCoachZ 19:42, 27 April 2010 (CDT)
- I guess so, but that means that everyone who's tagged with it needs a changin'. Also, you need to put the defaultsort code on it. - Crazy Luigi 19:45, 27 April 2010 (CDT)
- Yeah, it's going to be a hassle... (sigh) if only there was a "move category" option... even I, with my modly powers, have to do it manually. --NinjaCoachZ 19:46, 27 April 2010 (CDT)
- Speaking of modly powers, I noticed that I can't see the options at the botton of every article around here. Any idea what's up with that? 'Cause, you know, it's dicks. - Crazy Luigi 19:50, 27 April 2010 (CDT)
- It probably depends on the browser. If you use Firefox they should be visible, but they might not in Internet Explorer. Maybe changing the skin will work. --NinjaCoachZ 19:57, 27 April 2010 (CDT)
- But I like the skin that I'm using. :3 - Crazy Luigi 23:42, 27 April 2010 (CDT)
- It is actually consistent with categories such as Scandinavians, Africans, Asians, etc. (or in other words, a multi-national category). "British" is referring to the geographical region and entities of countries located in this geographical region. Ireland, for example, is not even part of the United Kingdom, but it is within the British Isles. As for Australia and the other Commonwealth realms, they are ruled officially by Queen Elizabeth II (even if they have separate governments), and are thus counted as British. -Yoshit
- So why not name it "British People" or something similar? Maybe even "Great Britain" would work. --NinjaCoachZ 15:16, 28 April 2010 (CDT)
- Because it is an umbrella category, much like the others. If you want to rename this category, you will have to follow suit with the other categories in a similar fashion. -Yoshit

Same category with the English category?
This category contain only english characters. Why we can't add characters from Scotland, Wales or any character from countries that are part of the British empire. (India, Hong Kong etc.) -HMTcomp
