Gravity Falls
Description
Gravity Falls is the result of the executives of the Disney Channel getting their heads out of their asses and producing a good show instead of a cheesey, family-centric sitcom like they usually would.
Debuting in 2012, Gravity Falls follows the adventures of Dipper and Mabel Pines, two 12 year old kids sent to live with their Great Uncle Stan in the small town of Gravity Falls, Oregon during the summer. Stan owns a tourist trap called the "Mystery Shack", where he cons the gullible out of their money by showing off fake artifacts, claiming them to be evidence of government cover-ups and conspiracies. With Dipper and Mabel living there, they are forced to help around the shack along with employees Soos and Wendy. Early in the summer, Dipper discovers a mysterious book marked with the number 3 on it. The book details actual conspiracies and mysterious happenings in the town of Gravity Falls, but appears unfinished, as the pages suddenly stop. Using the book to their advantage, Dipper and Mabel embark on adventures throughout the small town all while dealing with problems in their own lives (such as Dipper's love for Wendy and Mabel's rivalry with Pacifica Northwest).
The show is surprisingly very continuous, as the episodes reference each other all the time. The show also makes pop culture references and inappropriate jokes that would be more expected from a Cartoon Network show rather than a Disney one. Considering that many major crew members have done work on Cartoon Network shows on the past, it isn't all too surprising.

Further Information
- The show's ratings are much higher than that of Disney's live action shows
- The show hides a secret message at the end of each episode. The code can be deciphered using a code revealed by the whispering at the end of the opening. This code changes every now and then and sometimes it can be found by reversing the whispering while other times it can be found by playing it normally. The whispering itself (if it isn't revealing a code) is mysterious on it's own anyway.
