Media Infomation
"Sonic the Movie" is actually a two-part direct-to-video animation released in Japan, chronicling Sonic's adventures to stop Eggman and his evil "Hyper Metal Sonic" robot. The English release was dubbed by ADV Films and the two parts were merged together and called a "movie". It was also timed to tie in with Sonic Adventure and the new Sega Dreamcast.
