Description
Nintendo World Cup is a soccer video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy, developed by Technos Japan and released in 1990. It is the American/European localization of Nekketsu Kōkō Dodgeball Bu: Soccer Hen that was part of the Kunio-kun series, however the cutscenes regarding Kunio and friends were removed. The game was also ported to the Sharp X68000, Mega Drive, PC Engine and PC Engine CD (with additional cutscenes) under slightly different names. In Europe, the game was successful enough to be included in a multicart with Super Mario Bros. and Tetris. Unlike many soccer games, the game is not realistic and there are no fouls/offside rules but there are special moves as well as able to hurt a player on the other team.
