Hollow began with several unsuccessful accounts, one of them being a troll account involving the infamous group, The Barney Bunch. On his account, CallMeComboy, he performed an interview with Likety himself. "It was kind of like 'Exit Through the Gift Shop' for me." Hollow claims, "It was for a school project on art and I asked him a question 'What is considered art?'. He gave me such an incredible answer that I realized that YTP is an art form, something I want to be a part of."

Hollow than used money he used for cutting lawns one summer to buy Sony Vegas 11. He spent almost all of November and December teaching himself how to use it.
