Copyright is the law designed to protect works that people create from plagiarism or piracy. It is that simple, stupid.
It has claimed many a pooper's life, and will soon take yours, unless you credit your sources (thus making their use fair)!

Fair use is a clause that allows limited usage of copyrighted works for either educational, critical, news, parody, or research use without the holder's consent.
However, to make the usage of these sources fair, acknowledgment must be given to the copyright holder, which most poopers ignore, which is why their videos are taken down by Viacom, or are silenced by WMG.
