Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie (aka Sonic Anime) was a movie created by Sega around 1996. It was two parts, the first part having Robotnik tell how Metal Robotnik took over the Land of Darkness, and the second part with the fight between Sonic and Hyper Metal Sonic. Was first used by RetroJape, followed by MrDrunkenFox, and some other people.

Media Infomation

• "Sonic the Movie" is actually a two-part direct-to-video animation released in Japan, chronicling Sonic's adventures to stop Eggman and his evil "Hyper Metal Sonic" robot. The English release was dubbed by ADV Films and the two parts were merged together and called a "movie". It was also timed to tie in with the Sonic Adventure game and the then new Sega Dreamcast.
