*Without doubt the biggest amount of criticism that mrSimon receives is thinly disguised jealousy of his success. Some argue that his work does not merit the attention that it receives and that he is only prolific because he is skilled at marketing and self [[promotion]].
*He often trolls the forums and is as likely to post offensive remarks as he is to be helpful or friendly. 
*Certain people <!--whose names would rather not be disclosed--> argue "The only reason so many people like him was because of his "Stay Here While I Bust Koopa Football Playas" video. If he had appeared on YouTube now with the stuff that he spews out every 10 seconds with no effort whatsoever, then he would be cast aside as a mere poser that only had a fancy editer but no talent."
*Often accused of plagism and idea theft (see below)
*Despite being a user of the youchewpoop forum he often behaves as if the place is below him and his occasional visits (when promoting his latest work) are treated by him as if he were royalty. Likewise he rarely co ordinates any community activities with anyone and instead is dependant on his own cache' .

*mrSimon does things his way, does want he wants and nearly always gets away with it.
*Never worried about criticism he is happy to take an idea, expand upon it and make it his own. It is this which has resulted in a lot of unfounded accusations of theft (especially when from obscure sources) from those who don't understand the nature of derivative art culture.
*He has a brilliant eye for what will be popular and has initiated a number of fads and trends.
*His video ident, created in January 07 is still on of the most requested clips on the youtube forums (despite now being associated with noobs)

*Despite his ''hard man of poop'' reputation, which he re-enforces by being abrasive and shouting etc. mrSimon is in fact a complete geek. Both in life, (as evidenced by his class honours degree) and in poop mrSimon's dedication to detail is what makes his work stand out. When mrSimon makes a poop he didn't just knock it out in half an hour, he spent time thinking, working and making decisions inform by the mistakes of others.
