The Power Diamond Star or called the Power Star for short, is super source of energy for:

*Mushroom Kingdom
*Starship [[Mario]]
*[[Bowser]]
*[[Kirby]] ([[Kirby]] uses them to travel to new locations)


==History==
This star first originated when [[Bowser]] found out that the Castle was chock full of them. The stars were behind the paintings, and taking them away causes the paintings to lose their solid-ty, meaning that you can go inside them. The [[Toad]]s happened to be adjusting them, and they got sucked in. Of course, [[Mario]], being the hero that he is, retrived the Power Stars.

Next, a fat[[ass]] luma named Luba promised [[Mario]] his ship, because it also runs on power stars, too. The Power Star is the hero counterpart of the [[Dark Star]].

==Trivia==
*Unlike the [[Dark Amethyst Star]], the Power Star does not have some crazy past. (i.e. characters fighting to get it.) [[File:Star Power.jpg|right|230px|thumb|Did you know that the Power Star can be converted to a drink?]]
**[[Bowser]] wants to use the Power Star for evil.
*Despite the goodness of the power star, no one has written a book about it yet.
*There will be one point where [[Mario]] will have to gather 7 stars to become Super Sayian Mario, since stars are equal to [[Chaos Emeralds]] and Dragon Balls.
*As well as Power Stars, there are also green stars, which have the same effect.
*There is a larger version of this star called a Grand Star, which enables [[Mario]] to go to the next World.
**Many people are unaware of the fact that Power Stars can be used as an alternate fuel source.
