'''OVER 9000''' is one of the oldest memes on the planet. It was started by [[Kajetokun]] when he posted the video shown to the right. It was said by [[Vegeta]] in an early episode of ''[[Dragon Ball|Dragon Ball Z]]'' when Nappa asked for [[Goku]]'s power level. Since 9000 was higher than Nappa's power level, this caused Vegeta to break the scouter in rage. In the original [[Japanese]] version, Goku's power level was only 8000. However, in most later dubs, it has remained 9000 so the fanboys won't be disappointed. The uncut version of ''Dragon Ball Z Kai'' changes it back to 8000 at last.

9000+ is how big [[Goku]]'s power level ''once'' was. Since then, it has easily gone up to wayyyy over 500 billion. Over 9000 is also [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYDWMSRbAyE how many licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop].

"Over 9000" was a phrase that Kajetokun's friends kept saying at an anime convention circa 2005. Kajetokun really didn't know much about the phrase, but him and his friend Jarrod found it hilarious because they thought the scouter blew up on Vegeta's face when he said the line. They began to joke about how if something was "over 9000", it'd spontaneously explode. Eventually, Kajetokun found the original video, and though slightly disappointed that Vegeta broke the scouter himself, still found it quite funny. He was about to show Jarrod so he'd know the actual scene. Jarrod wasn't online, so Kajetokun played around with it in [[Windows Movie Maker]] and added clips from ''Rhythm Heaven'' and ''GaioGaiGar''. He uploaded it to YouTube as a joke, and thanks to VGCats and the Internet Hate Machine, bam! Instant meme.

Kajetokun doesn't find "9000!!!" to be very funny anymore. In fact, it's his least favourite from all of his videos. This actually isn't because of its popularity, but because it started from an in-joke that he found hilarious at the time, but not so much in the present.
