The Robotic Robot (TRR) is a Youtube Poop creator, dating back to mid-spring, 2008. He is not well known due to the infrequency of his submissions as well as a general lack of concern for quality or fan service within them. As of March 2009, roughly a year after starting, he has only accumulated barely over 100 subscribers.

The Robotic Robot has a moderate presence on the YouChew Forums and is a member of the Art Staff therein. He takes the persona of a Daft Punk-esque humanoid robot, to which he may sometimes attribute to his supposed lack of understanding of certain childish behavior. He is most known for being blunt and unsympathetic as well as for requesting positions of higher authority within the community where neither the need nor the qualifications justify the action. He can often be found getting flustered by impetuously talking about things he knows nothing about or feigning an authoritative stance on a given issue. This, experts suggest, is a key factor in, though not limited to, Robot's lack of popularity.

Style[edit]

The Robotic Robot tends to fluctuate between two distinct styles in particular, one being a minimalist style that makes use of only a small handfull of scenes and the other a more laborious use of effects and footage (a style that some refer to as brain rape). The former is a personal stylistic and philosophical choice regarding the nature of ytp itself, in which TRR believes that something good can be made out of anything, big or small, obscure or otherwise. The latter is the result of a long stint of YTP Tennis The Robotic Robot played during the summer of 2008, his most notably prolific period to date. Predating the summer of 2008, TRR made 3 distinct videos, "The Faces of AIDS," "The Wand of AIDS" and most notably "Mario Fails at finding the cure for AIDS." These were the first videos TRR had released without the tagline "YTP/Youtube Poop" in the title, and it was the first sign that he was taking editing seriously. After that point, no further evidence was presented to support this theory.

Lazy Editing = Successful Video: TRR's minimalist form reached a new peak during the summer of 2009. Videos such as "I'm losing Subscribers" and "Artistic Film" would consist of a single jpeg image with camera effects or uncut footage of his cat, Snickers. The lack of effort or style didn't backfire, however, and instead turned out to be of great benefit to TRR's success. Few are certain as to why.

Discovery[edit]

Though still a minor footnote in the annals of poop history, The Robotic Robot first began receiving substantial exposure after winning a Youtube Poop Music Video (YTPMV) contest held by popular YTPMV-composer CaptainFawful in early July, 2009. The video, "Frank Brandishes an Overly-Dramatic Robot Pilot" used music from the game Earthbound and footage from an episode of Eureka Seven; it capitalized on the ironic juxtaposition of serious and suffering anime characters against the zany, whimsical Earthbound battle tune "The New Age Retro Hippie/Frank's Theme." The victory resulted in a near tripling of subscribers within a single month. TRR quickly made a celebratory video, and shortly thereafter released the video "I'm Gaining Subscribers" which was simply his video "I'm Losing Subscribers" played backwards in its entirety. Some viewers felt that TRR's indulgence in celebration was uncalled for and simply a poor excuse to gloat and flaunt what little he had accomplished. They were right, but nobody cares.
